Well, as the in-game tutorial showed you, you hold the stick in one direction, then as yellow circle expands, rotate the stick in the direction indicated by whichever pitch you're throwing. The closer you get to the grey circle, the better the pitch will be.

Rather than create a new thread, I decidecd to use this one ^_^

So in My Player mode, the only pitches I can ever throw without Wild Pitches are Fastball and Changeup, I guess the other gestures are just too complicated for my feeble mind ^_^ so does anyone else have this problem? If so, how did you fix it? I was considering juust reving up the pitch control on them befaore even thinking about using them, thoughts?

Use the pitch gesture feedback feature. This will tell you with extreme precision exactly where your path deviated from the proper path and by how much. It's very useful. The trickiest thing in this game is keeping the stick engaged with the rim of the analog housing. It's really easy to slip off it and that's what gets you bad gestures a lot of time.

This! Go to presentation settings and set pitch analyzer to always. You need to see it even when you do it right so you can really see what the game is expecting of you.

Also, start out on the easiest settings and move up. You can go into game Modes and choose drills. The accuracy and velocity drill for pitching will give you a good indication of where you are at. If you are scoring perfect , then move it up.

Don't worry about trying to use the slider sets. some of us use an accuracy of 25 or 30, but we are only able to do that after having played the game for several years and getting the movement and pacing down.

And drills are kind of fubar. When you complete it, you are forced to quit, and then go through the menus to start again. But when you do this, adjust the difficulty rating to see how it affects your pitches. Once you get it down, you can adjust meter speed, break influence, and accuracy in the sliders.
