Re: The framerate drop in late innings is infuriating

I mostly play quick games and playoff mode and have yet to really see it happen to the point where it really interferes with the game. I play franchise, but sim all the games.

I'm going to have to play a franchise game later and see whats up. Its weird if this problem is only visisble in that mode. Hope a workaround can be found for you guys.

I would like to apologize to everyone for never noticing this slowdown in my franchise play. I have active bullpen on, and pitch from behind the mound.

I have not noticed a framerate drop at all.

Happens EVERY game @ Citi Field. Makes the game tough for me to play as a Mets fan.

It may be a fact. I am currently in a 4 game series now with the Braves, and experienced this in the late innings of game 1 tonight. I also agree that when the bullpen is active it happens, but it will occur when the user has a man up.

In tonights game Hudson shut me down for 8 innings so they didnt have their bullpen active, however I had my bullpen active a few times and the framerate definitely dipped. I had read this post yesterday so I was kind of watching out for this since I was playing Atlanta, so I sat my guys down that were warming up when it started to dip and then the framerate was fine.

This happened to me when I played the Mets earlier this season, way before the patch came out. I use the Rockies, so after this Atlanta series it should be ok the rest of the way.

I've played the Mets in my franchise a couple times before without incident, but my last game, a night one, was damn near unplayable. This is the first time I've played a game with this drop in it and I can't believe they let this one go. If I have to face the Mets in the playoffs I'm gonna be pissed.

I have never noticed this. Another advantage of the PC version apparently.

I don't know...day games at the Cubs are tough. Sometimes I feel like I'm swinging in the dark.

That I have noticed. The shadows can be tricky, but the other problem is the hitting camera angle makes the ball harder to see because of the outfield crowd (normally I love the default cam, but not at Wrigley). It helps to adjust the camera a bit (raise it up a notch or two or just switch to the old school camera) so the pitcher's release point appears lower on the green area on the center field wall ("batter's eye seats"), otherwise the ball blends in with the crowd in the bleachers. Try it and you'll see what mean.

Yeah, I can pretty much confirm 100% this only happens in certain stadiums, not all of them, hence why some people dont even encounter this.

I've been playing a bunch of games with the Yankees and Dodgers lately, and I havent seen it at all in the stadiums I've played in.

Word really needs to get to 2k to fix this asap. Its incredibly annoying regardless, especially if your a Braves or Mets fan, and its a shame this was overlooked.

If I may ask, what system are you all playing on?

                            360. It seems that the 360 version has the most glitches

Stinks too because I dont think 2k is patching this again.

Citi Field, Turner Field, Anaheim ... Any other stadiums where there is a slowdown in the late innings?

Just played versus the Mets at their place and there was a ton of hiccups. I had never seen it before. I did tonight.......I still whipped their Met asses!
