    Contact Swing Home run?

I just wanna know if they are possible, because i haven't hit one since i've been playing this game. If they are possible, how do i get them?
Would using the left stick influence contact swing home runs?

They're possible, but rare. Also depends on where your power slider is set. Any player can hit HRs if the power slider is jacked up. It's an issue with the game this year that's been discussed here a few times. Contact hitters with low power are fairly useless in this year's game, unlike power hitters with lower contact. The game programming in that regard needs to be rebalanced.

            Oh, i see.

Now that mention it, i see what you mean. Some players on my team I've never hit home runs with. Hopefully 2k12 will fix many of the issues in this years game.

One last question, ever since i upped the difficulty to legend i seem to be getting more at bats where i swing and don't get any feedback. It gets real annoying knowing my timing is right but I'm still not hitting, for whatever reason. Is there anything i can do (in game) to make these misses into contact? Just a thought, does this only occur during power swings or both contact and power?

Piegone is right. But you can get HRs with low power guys at a more reasonable rate if you go to classic hitting. The CPU will elect whether it's gonna do a power or contact swing for you. The result is that the outcome is dependent now on timing more than anything. Because of that, you can get homers with lower power guys. My record is hitting one with a guy who had 48 power.

I second this. Classic Hitting makes it easier to hit HRs with lower power batters. Just a game ago I hit a homerun with someone who only had 40 power. It was pretty cool.

I hit a home run with Chris Carpenter using classic hitting. Beat that record!

Very nice! I hooked one just foul the a few days ago with Mike Leake. I thought it was gone, but JUST missed. It was a change-up that I timed perfectly. The bat made that sound and for just a moment I thought I had one...

with 45 power difficulty I hit one with Josh Thole, who has like mid 50 power, using contact.

                        Re: Contact Swing Home run?

I've had this game since release day, and I hit my first contact swing HR yesterday with Neil Walker. 80 contact, I think his power is around 60. B Morrow gave me a pitch high and inside and I turned on it.

It took way too many games to do this, though.
