One-time 2K purchaser that skipped 2K11. Learned my lesson.

All I want is to have errors, AI steals, a semi functioning AI that works the bullpen correctly, starting pitcher stamina, a somewhat decent durability system, injuries, STATS that work correctly in franchise, fielding, animations that doesn't disrupt gameplay, and some of the old pitching/hitting mechanics from their past releases all in one game.

Is that too much to ask?

Doesn't 2k11 have error, stamina, and injuries? I remember that was an issue in 2k10 but I thought they fixed all of that.
      What would Doc do?

I know some people are gonna wanna rip me for saying this, but the graphics are one big reason why the game doesn't get much love these days. The game looked better back in 07/08.

Probably does BwanaKuu....But every year there is something. I think 2k8 didn't have CPU steals, 2k9 stamina was screwed up, 2k10 no errors, and on, and on......

Well The Show has these issues as well. The infamous 2015 issue last year (which still sorta exists), trading is still not good, the infielder at 2nd would sometimes not throw the ball to 1st for a double play in mlb 10, etc.

I think that MLB 11's graphics actually aren't that much better than 2k's. The big difference is animation. MLB 11's animations are smooth and look like real life. 2k they are jerky and just horrid.

Game Summary is a real killer for me. I just can't stand to look at the game summary/box score and see zeroes where real numbers should be. Aside from that, The Show offers much more in terms of actual baseball regarding baseball rules. I still like 2K11, though I don't play it anymore. I would like to see 2K come up with the kind of manual injury that The Show has, which gives you the kind of control to simulate what happens in real baseball for that season.

As to graphics, I really like The Show better, especially for player faces.

Yea The Show has some of the best graphics of any videogame ever made. My roommates will sometimes stop by my room on their way to the kitchen and watch for a few mins just because it looks so good.

I don't care about the manual injuries as I never try to mirror real life. It's my baseball world, I want to see what happens. Sometimes you'll get a huge injury that never happened IRL and it's fun to have to deal with that in your own way.

That's the only platform i played it on, but i still think the engine is lacking for 2011. the textures, lighting, and physics are not up to par for 2011 in my opinion. It's not a horrible game, but it isn't my choice.

2k has very unrealistic pitches, cutters move a foot in the game, for those that like arcade baseball with unrealistic pitch counts, a ridiculous amount of home runs and pitchers who go 9 innings every game 2k is for you

Besides cutters moving a bit too much (not a foot), I don't see any of that other stuff in this game. Sounds like you need to turn the difficulty up, and/or stop exaggerating.

I picked up 2k11 last week fir 15 bucks on eBay. I also have the show.

In all honesty I don't think 2k is as bad as people say. Sure I haven't noticed all the bugs yet but I think the game is actually really fun especially with mkharsh's sliders. I'm yet to hit a homerun! Lol.

I also think some of the stadium details are better and more accurate than the show. Sure the player models and animations are a bit goofy but I keep coming back to it.

The problem 2k has is the show is just more polished (also has bugs by the way)

Both are excellent games In my opinion

your could be right with the difficulty, i've only ever played on my friends consoles, and there is the glitch where if you pick off at a certain time while the player takes their lead they can't get back in time, and the players look to big compared to the field as well

I haven't bought every version this gen, just some here and there and I agree that in past years, this was definitley the case. No matter how much I tweaked with the settings, I saw low pitch counts, few walks, etc. etc. That being said, this game really did turn the corner last year, I still think the Show is better, but 2K11 was a major improvement in the sim department. It hasn't gotten THAT much playing time from me, but what I have played has met with my approval. I have mainly done My Player as a closer and I can say this, I cannot complain AT ALL about not walking guys. In my first 2 seasons, I had half as many walks as innings pitched.
