    Dear FATPITCHER....

I must say that World Series 2K3 is a very HANDS ON playable game of baseball but there are some serious things that should most definitely get addressed for next year's version to make it the complete front running baseball video game.

1- The batter/ pitcher interface is the worst of all the games this year in terms of accurately giving the player the 'feel' of batting and pitching in real game.

-For one, the camera angle used gives the the player the impression that the pitcher is almost right on top of the batter and about 20 feet away. There should be a better use of forshortening that gives the impression that the pitcher is further back and the pitched balls are being 'hurled' in.

    - On the topic of pitching, the pitched ball physics dont give the sensation of pitcher's actually winding up and 'hurling' it into the pitcher's mitt. Pitches seem to just float across the screen and disappear across the plate.

Despite the fact that the rest of the game is complete Triple Play garbage, MVP baseball does a FANTASTIC job of capturing the motion and physics of the pitcher winding up and firing in a pitch, rotation and all....it just looks and feels great. Also the sensation of a batter swinging a 40 ounce bat and catching nothing but air as the ball 'pops' into the catchers mitt is just spot on. The timing, the variety in swing motion, the shifting of the player's weight, the physics all are very authentically captured and give the player a very good feel while batting and pitching.

World Series needs to better capture the full dynamics of the pitcher's windups and batter swings ( also thru various different zones of the strike zone, ie, swing high )

-WSB needs to also capture ALOT more pitcher windup motions for pitchers around the league...too many players have the same default windup.

-Add different player models and body types. SOme tall and lanky, some short and stout, some buff, some normal, ect

-fix the loopy throws that unrealistically arc from the outfielders and put a better physics engine in place for all player throws at every position. ie, throws that hop in the dirt to 1b, balls that sometimes caromb off a players glove , ect.

-Add some more variety to the tagging and sliding engine to allow for more excitement on close plays at a bag. Ie sweeping tags, head first slides, hook slides, balls getting knocked out of the glove on occassion, ect.

-Add some more motion capturing for running down fly balls, occassional acrobatic catches,

Basically, the engine plays great but it needs some more motion captured variety and the batter pitcher interface needs to be made more realistic. I honestly felt that MVP and even the old World series Baseball 2K1 on the Dreamcast( Homerun King on the gamecube ) had a better, more engaging Batter Pitcher interface.

World Series biggest strength is its deep Franchis mode and it's very playable engine that sports some of the most realistic BATTED BALL physics on any game. They just need to work on some of the stuff mentioned above to really take this game to the next level.

Fat please tell me what you think

It also needs a manage only mode! I won't be buying another BB game without it....so I may not be getting any new BB games unfortunatly.

I agree, but Sega needs to make up a ton of ground to out do MVP Baseball 2004. The franchise mode in WSB is fun, but playing the game is excruciating.

We have a Wishlist Forum. That is where all wishlists belong.

Please post the things you'd like in next year's edition in the WSB Wishlist Thread so that the developers have one place to look for user wishlists.
