If they can improve the graphics for the PS3 version, especially for night games which look flat, and improve the animations, I will purchase it along with the other game. It's got a fun factor as previously mentioned and I really like the analog pitching and commentary.

A good foundation ? You call that physics, simulation and graphics engine a good foundation ? I disagree.

They had a good foundation to build on back in 2007/2008. Now.. they got nothing and they know it. That's why they dupe people into buying it. This game doesn't sell itself like it used to.

I think this game needs a major overhaul, my list of priorities would be controls, animations and sliders, a one year off working hard on the flaws of the game is what 2k needs to delivera true simulation.

I don't think the game needs an overhaul. The core isn't bad at all imo but there are a lot of little goofy/broken things that add up to an incomplete product. It's a fun game that has many fans saying "If only they fixed these few things it would be great." But people have been saying that every year with this franchise.

It's a fun game and I love the atmosphere and pitching mechanics. But after awhile the problems bug me and really hurt franchise mode.

People say that about other baseball games to. But that voice is squelched better in some forums.

You're right. It doesn't need an overhaul. Anyone who says it does didn't give 2K11 enough of a chance. 2K11 is pretty good, despite a few flaws (nothing game-breaking), but overall I enjoy it, especially on PC.

VC keeps building steam since they took over with 2K9 and I like what they've done with the series. They really don't have to do much to make 2K12 good too. I'm looking forward to it...really all they need to do is tidy up the injury code, add some new running animations, and spruce up the graphcs a bit and I'll be happy. I'm anxious to hear about what they've been working on.

They need to add/fix some things with the gameplay as well. I've played a few games of MVP 05 the last couple days, and I've seen so many things happen that I haven't seen once in the 2k series.

I agree...although in my chise, beltre got hurt and the CPU automatically put him on the DL for 30 days, the DL bug FORCED me to sim literally 30 days to get him off or he would have been there all year long because of the DL bug. That was a pretty big game breaker for me for about 2 weeks until I simmed the 30 days to get him back. The check swing bug just makes me mad alltogether...hope this gets fixed.

2k12 needs too fix the pitcher stat issues, DL bug, check swing, warping of the ball in the gloves...etc. I really like 2k11, and think it's solid. They need too polish the gameplay tweaks mentioned in the forums and add more presentation and commentary depth. also uniforms is missing and needs too be in the game. I wish they had the technology where when u trade a player, that his cap changes with that team logo. it's still frustrating too see players in the lineup with there old team caps on. I still can't figure why they can't do this with roster updates. I think we in for a treat for the 2012 season if u a baseball fan.

I was actually just thinking about this exact same thing earlier in the morning. I was watching a full game upload on YouTube, and said to myself: "Damn, this game looks much more polished than the demo I played. What's the difference?" It was then that I remembered the uploaded game was the 360 version, whereas the PS3 version lacks any sort of polish, specifically when it came to jagged edges.

The reason I feel they might be able to step it up this year is because the NBA 2K team did it for 2K12 on PS3. It will be great to see if they are actually able to achieve that this year.
