    Re: MAKING FLYBALLS MORE DIFFICULT

I find it funny that we catch fly balls and field grounders in video games today the same exact way we did almost 30 years ago...just run into the ball.

Hitting, pitching, base running, etc. have all been re-vamped over and over again, but fielding has almost never changed.

Since it sounds like they will never incorporate any type of catch button, it would at least be nice to be able to tell your fielder the difference of when to coast into a catch and when he needs to get behind the ball and get in a position to throw. Nothing worse than having a runner tag and advance on a ball because your outfielder goes into a long, drawn out catch animation instead of getting behind the ball, setting up and getting his momentum moving towards the infield as he catches the ball so that he can make a solid throw.

Same goes with the infield, it would be nice to be able to tell your fielder to throw on the run, stop and throw, etc.

Seems like the pull/release of a trigger could do this easily.
