I preordered this game only because of this combo pack. Already have 2k12 for PS3 & the other baseball game preordered as well. I had leftover money on my GS account so it was free.

Haven't played 2k baseball since 2k9 so it will feel like a brand new game to me. The added bonus of NBA 2k12 was the selling point though.

For you guys that are going to be new to NBA 2K12, make sure you check out the SimWorld Roster that Ronyell, YouAlreadyKnow and crew put together for the community. It's great and the updated file will be out by the time this combo pack is released.

I think it's the other way around, and I'm getting it no doubt.. all of my sports friends play NBA 2K12 with about 10% of them playing baseball games

Nah, he said it right. 2K baseball has been blowing for the last few yrs. Plus this is the swan song for them. Everyone is getting The Show, I am but not on launch day. I have no friends on the PS3 and I have had mine for over 4 yrs. All my friends are on the Box so it will be 2K combo on the 6th and maybe The Show on the 15th, but yeah 60 for the basketball and 10 for the Farm System.

At first, I wasnt going to get the combo pack..but after playing MLB and NBA demos, I think it's worth it....so that's what I'll be doing. What system is NBA 2K12 better for?

You can only get it for 2 systems only, Xbox and Wii. Can't get it for the PS3, and if you do you really would be a fool to get it over the other game IMO. I'm getting it for the Xbox and "the other game" will be my swan song on PS3. Not buying no more games for that system.

sold my copy of nba2k 12 for $35 (bought it for $40 on Amazon), used that money, $10 gift card etc and pre-ordered this combo pack. if it wasnt for this i was gonna pass on MLB 2K this year..

so now when there is a spike in MLB 2k12 sales this year is it the quality of the game or the combo pack deal. I was getting MLB anyways but, will do this for NBA but, is there more people the other way I think so.

I think it's a decent deal..

NBA 2k12 apparently hasn't had any stable online play since launch despite 2k trying to patch it.

MLB 2k12 is clearly no match for "The Show" year after year.

2k has been shuddering it's smaller development studios that it owned. They're definitely viable, just not in the same way they were when they paid top dollar for MLB exclusivity. Honestly ... it isn't doing MLB any favors to have such uneven quality in the titles that represent its product.

MLB has been very progressive in dealing with electronic formats. Heck MLB Advanced Media or whatever it's called now...basically invented the technology and business model that the NFL uses for its streaming services.

It only makes sense that they'd want the same high standards shown by the companies they've agreed to license their likeness and product to every year.

I won't call 2kSports dead...but...white flag is pretty accurate...

So I take my NBA and MLB 2K11 up to Gamestop to preorder the combo pack. Guy says they have MLB in the back (wont sell it early) but never heard of combo pack. Finally finds it listed and says they haven't got it yet but will have copies on Tues but cannot pre-order. WTF....the only game in GS history that cannot be pre-ordered? So I put my money towards my copy of TW and will have to hope I get there in time Tue to get a combo pack.

I picked up the combo pack at TRU since they was giving away a GC for the purchase of 2K12. It was a $10 GC for the standard version and a $15 GC for the combo pack. Me and my ace boon was going for the combo since neither one of us got NBA. So I bought the combo pack which gives me the $15 GC and bought ME3 which came with a $10 GC so they gave me a $25 GC. TRU is stupid in which you have to wait 6 hours before you can use the GC, so I went back later on tonight and used it on SFxT. All I need to get now is the other game and SSX and when I purchase Tiger at the end of the month, that should hold me over until college comes out or I might get Ghost Recon in between. But definitely go to TRU if you are having trouble finding the combo pack, plus it comes with the GC also.
