Auto Pitching?

I remember during my High Heat days, there was a cool feature where you could have the AI pitch for you and you just controlled your fielders. Does anyone know if version '12 will have this feature or if any of the prior versions had it?

I like the idea of my pitchers ratings affecting the outcome more than my button presses. I find that I don't walk anyone if I'm controlling the pitcher, and auto control adds to the realism IMO.

Absolutely not. I don't think this will ever be implemented in a 2k or a Sony baseball game. I don't really see it being that popular anyways.

It's not as weird as you think. It actually makes you focus on which reliever to bring in when the AI controls the pitcher. When you're controlling the pitcher you would never walk in a run, but IRL it happens and with AI control it happens.

I'd be all for it if for no other reason than controlling every at bat and every pitch as a pitcher in a game is extremely tiring. Just a bit much to me. I'd prefer to control one or the other.

Ive walked in runs numerous times, if you have never done it or dont walk people much turn the difficulty up or edit sliders. I struggle big time pitching but it makes me work for a win and not sit back and get mad because the computer decided to try and slip a fastball past Pujols with a full count

But does changing the sliders affect all pitchers or just the mediocre ones? I'm all for walking in a run once in awhile but I don't think it should happen when I'm pitching with Verlander just because I messed up the sliders. I found when the AI controlled the pitchers it was based on their ratings more rather then whether or not I could press the button correctly.
