No!!!! That was the one I disliked so much. So now when I hit the ball to the warning track, the camera stays at a view from behind homeplate again and mildly zooms? I prefer the camera to follow the ball and let me see the action play out in the "traditional" fielding view while I monitor my baserunner from the diamond in the corner.

This is how the game shipped last year, which was a giant disappointment, but they added those cameras back in the patch. Now...they are gone again? So.....are there any other good options or are we stuck with one "baserunning" camera? Why....I ask....why????

The frame-rate really is only there on foul plays. It's not game-killing by any means, but still a little bothersome. i also recommend to pc users who have a high end machine to install Post Process Injector. It adds a little more color. I use preset 2. You need to install it where the *exe is. Still have to play a lot more to get an idea on AI mgt, if there are any major bugs, etc. But I am enjoying the game. Not evolutionary, flashy, and completely polished. But fun and seems to play a better, smarter game of baseball than previous years.

Downloaded and really enjoyed the first game I played, CIN(me) vs PIT at the Great American Ballpark.

First thought, and I'm going to keep this short, is WOW... they messed up the players faces badly.

Some of them are downright hideous. Some of them are decent. Some are pretty good actually. It's a mixed bag, overall, not too big of a detraction from the game.

Otherwise, this is my first 2k baseball game for a couple of years, and I'm actually really liking how the game is represented. I ended up winning 3-0, 2 runs coming from a Votto 2 Run HR to dead away center. Leake pitched a great game, ended up with a possibly realistic 10 strikeouts. I kept them in check pretty well. I will end up adjusting some sliders, but I liked what I saw.

The "pop" of a 103mph fastball from Chapman was pretty nice too. Definitely smacking the mitt much harder than Leake's 89MPH fastball.

I bought it from Amazon expecting Steam wouldn't have it for a while. So....I am curious what makes Steam's version great at multiplayer? Am I missing something with the Amazon download?

Man, is this game stunning on the PC. Completely maxed out, I get 118 fps @ 1900x1200. I will take that all day long......

Bring on the mods!( So Castro no longer looks like a burn victim)

Sorry this isn't an actual impression, but can someone post impressions of the commentary compared to last years version?

It's very similar. They have some new stuff, but I'm sure it'll get old quickly.

So what's the bugs so-far in the pc version? Something just seems weird concerning performance. I'm playing the reds vs Seattle and the Seattle catcher just seems to hit a slow-mode or something when throwing the ball back to the pitcher.

I'm thoroughly impressed with 2k12. It isn't anything special, but it's fun, I can recognize pitches and PC graphics are quite good.

I also am quite impressed with the PC version. I have a PS3 as well and only played the demo, but it is a totally different experience and feels like a totally different game. My settings are i5 2500k, gtx 580, monitor is 1680 x 1050 at 120hz refresh rate, vsync on. There is not a single hitch, hiccup, or stutter for me, ever. I'm also not seeing the slight delay/hiccup people are talking about when the batter swings and makes contact or on foul balls, I did see these in the PS3 demo. I'm floored by the graphics and smoothness of the PC version, for $25 from Amazon it is a steal, glad I gave it a try. I find the game play enjoyable so far, no complaints yet from me.

FYI, for those who don't have machines to get 120 Hz refresh rate I'm getting 60 and the game runs nicely.

@WTF, welcome to 2k! It's not that the faces are bad, but that your most likely seeing a generic cyberface. Only a small percentage, maybe 30%, have a detailed face. But have no fear, because this IS the pc version and we WILL make it better. In fact, day one and we already have mods out!

All in all, the game is a steal for the price and plays much better than last year albeit extremely familiar.

A little off topic but just imagine The Show on a pc..
On topic now, game is pretty good, it's fun as always,I'll keep playing this on pc with mods and The Show on my ps3.Despite the overall lack of pc post release support, I think it's still great that 2k shows some love for pc users.

I hoping someone can help me with a few questions it would be much appreciated.

Is there manager mode in 2k12 PC? If not can I set everything to auto to kind of create my own manager mode? Is there a one pitch option to get games played quickly? Does the CPU handle pinch hitting and pitching changes appropriately? As a guy who plays strictly as the manager is this game worth buying?
