Looks like we are very close to having the first accessory mod out.

      Nice, I use the 2K11 accessories pack for 2K11 (pena's), it's terrific.

For anyone who downloaded 2K11 mods last year, the MVP Mods site has switched things up. The mod downloads section is now in a different area of the site than the mod previews, mod announcements and mod requests. There are several mods already uploaded, and I never saw them until this morning when I figured out things had changed over there.

I think pena told me that 2K expanded the amount of accessories this year, therefore he can include more custom ones in his mod.

Ah, let me answer this one. The uniforms DO NOT have less detail in them this year. I analyzed both this year and last years close up in photoshop and there's no change to either the texture size or design. The logo art on the front of the uniform DID change though. It's actually its own separate texture and is not embedded on the uniform. This gives it its own lighting properties and is a much much higher resolution.

However, the ball caps DID change and now are a much lower texture size. In fact, they are half the size as last year. They went from 512x512 to 256x256. Thus, giving the hats a really rubbery look. No way to fix that, even by compressing the 512 from last year to a 256.

          The changes are interesting...

Still got a way to go before I release the pack bluengold34_OS. I will be updating progress over at mvpmods though. As DS mentioned, there are now 5 different batting gloves and 6 different cleats in the global file!

Very nice to hear. Looking forward to it. Thanks for the welcome to the PC version. Been a few years for a baseball title. Liking what I see out of it thus far.

Why is this thread still not stickied with the rest of the impressions threads.

Just downloaded this, kind of an impulse buy as I already have a ps3 and that game, but overall this is a solid game and I had a lot of fun. I'm horrible at analog hitting but I like the challenge and the commentary in this game is outstanding

The PC version looks really good, some bad models here and there, but mods can fix that. It's a good year for baseball gaming.

It's only $26.99 to download from Amazon right now, so I'll probably be doing that tomorrow since I have the day off.

Usually got 2K baseball games on consoles, but this year built an awesome rig and I'm new to PC 2K baseball. Ive heard horror stories from the past that controller response was terrible etc. and before I get this and go buy a 360 controller just wanted to know what was up. I also use classic hitting and, I guess, classic 'throw to the bases', so thats there right? Thanks. Also, as Ive read, MVPMods is where its at, so do they have a mod manager, or is it just old school, 'into the data folder'?

The controller is completely fine. I use a 360 controller, and it's no different than playing the console version.

Just picked this up last night and only got one game in but I was impressed how smoothly the game ran on the PC. While 2k's graphic engine seems dated, this game runs very smoothly on PC, better than the console version IMO. Granted I got a fairly strong rig. Looking forward to the mods to make it even better

I have played both PC and console (PS3) versions of the game. PC version much better. Using X360 controller on PC. No controller issues whatsoever.

I do wish there was an option for pitching that's even simpler than classic. In 2k11 we just had to tap the button. Now you have to hold it to get to 'max' pitch, unless I'm missing something.

The simpler the controls the better imo.

I´ve created some Title Screens for MLB 2K12 PC Version.

                              Download it

                              Download it

Feel free to ask for any player you like and I´ll try to make them.

I´ve also released the YES Network Overlay

                              Download it

I guess this year I will be able to edit scoreboards as I did with NBA 2K12.

                              Regards
                              Ariel
