its a glitch that happens when you have an injury in the minors that gets handled by the cpu. and yes it still happens -

it happens when theres an injury in the minors and the cpu adjusts it automatically for you, afaik it doesn't happen everytime so there might be more situations but its happened to me already twice 9 games into my franchiseComment

hmm I'm not seeing it. It doesn't touch my lineups or rotations on the mlb level at all even if I set cpu auto manage for minors or turn it off and hit auto manage injury button when prompted. I'm just simming maybe it only happens if you play a game. also I have auto save enabled it saves my franchise file and user profile after every change. I also do not have the patch, using ny mets.Comment

Check the forum for similar threads from 2K11. I forget what the reason/fix was for it, but it is possible to keep the CPU from messing with lineups. Obviously some people here aren't experiencing it, and that's because it only happens in certain situations.Comment

hmm I had it happen to me. got a pop up about a AAA guy coming off rehab and another was injured only gave me two options. Randy if you always choose to handle injuries yourself (never auto majors or minors) does it still chane your lineup at random? because when I do a real chise that's what I plan to do, I don't mind thatComment

Re: Does CPU still set your lineups like in mlb 2k11?
The only time this happened to me (last year) was when I would sim a whole month and get a pop half way through that an injury happened. When I would tell the game to auto manage the injury I would notice my lineup would get changed.
To me this bug isnt the end of the world. You could just micro manage every injury if it matters to you. Or keep a pen and paper (which is what I do) and make sure its correct before each game.
In any case I think it has to do with setting auto management off, but hitting "yes" when prompted to auto manage a single injury. And/or auto management of the minors affecting you MLB lineup. (as others have mentioned.)Comment

Ah yes, I believe that was it. As long as one sims one game at a time, the CPU will never reset your roster. And nobody can complain about that. If you're not simming one game at a time -- which takes like 1 second -- and then reviewing boxscores after each game, you're not really into playing franchise anyway IMO.Comment

I would sim 1 game. Look at box score. Sim 1 game. Look at box score. etc etc.. In the event of injuries I always dealt with it myself.
I would I say I probably play 20% of the games in a season of my franchises. (opening day, big matchups against rivals, seasons end when its down to the wire etc.. etc..)Comment
