    Bullpen warmup too fast?

What so you guys think? I think its a heck of a lot faster then last year or any year. Last year I thought the time it took was pretty good. Sometimes my long guy is warmed up after 2 batters. Eeks!

IRL pitchers aren't just sitting there in the pen with their feet up all game like it seems. I think it's fairly realistic to warm up that quickly since guys are down in the pen with heat pads and doing warmup exercises well before they're told to "get hot". I think weather should affect warmup times based on hot/cold temps but that is a little advanced for 2K.

I agree they warm up way to fast. JJ putz was ready by my second pitch of the inning. Last year it took some time to warm them up or you could of had a meeting on the mound to kill time. That way was more realistic than what we have now

        Is JJ Putz your closer?

They never warm up this fast in real life regardless of stretching etc..

Two batters time is not uncommon for a late reliever to warm up in... If you're a 7th, 8th, or 9th inning guy, you know when your inning is coming and you prepare... even without a call... It does not take that long for a professional athlete to get "hot" if a manager has defined roles...(which they do).

Unless your manager has told you that you are NOT available that day and are not on the lineup card.

It should not take a full inning for a reliever to get hot and this has bugged me in the past (only exception being SP's, rehabbed pitchers, and 40+ year olds). Sometimes relievers get less than 10 pitches to get as hot as possible and they get away with this because they prepare.

Putz was my closer and it wasn't 2 batters it was 2 pitches to 1 batter. My MR did the same. I chose to warm up 2 guys and then I threw a few pitches and the black screen which is so annoying and stupid popped up and said they were done

If you had already warmed them up and previously sat them down then this isn't wrong.

If this was the first time you touched them, I agree on a glitch alert.

I am talking about the first time. If you already warmed them up of course its supposed to be faster lol

I also feel its faster this year. And maybe a little too fast.

I feel like in 2K11 I had to use mound visits to allow guy more time to warm up. This year it seems like they're ready so fast you never have to do that. I liked that added element of strategy that seems un-necessary now.

I agree that the warmup happens way too quickly.

A little off-topic, but not much:

Can we actually warm guys up while we're hitting? This annoyed me to no end last year.

yes, just go into the substitution screen and select bullpen.

Also a little off topic, but I guess it kinda goes with warming up,mound visits, buying time, etc.

Does anyone think pitchers (mainly user controlled, not cpu) get rattled a little too easily? I was playing against the Tigers and Prince Fielder hit 2 HRs against me. One was a solo shot and the other was a 2 run shot. Almost immediately afterwards my pitcher turned into a pile of goo. The pitching cursor was shaking all over the place.

I don't like how a hit takes off 2 points from your pitch and 5 points after a homerun. That is a little overdone in my opinion
