Fixed check swing!

Just saw a checked swing called for a ball. i was pitching, but the computer stopped swinging and it was a ball. never saw that last year

Yes, check swings were bugged in 2K11. They are now fixed for both User and CPU batters in 2K12.

This was a huge pet peeve of mine last year. IMO a baseball game without check swings is like a Chess set that is sold without Bishop pieces.

Actually all in all 2K12 is much less buggy and way more solid this year. I am thoroughly enjoying 2K12 this year.

I don't know that they are 100% fixed in 2K12 with the analog swing.

I have seen several instances where I checked up a a swing, the pitch landed well outside the strike zone and the announcers say, "check swing but a called strike." So either there is a random dice roll that determines if you broke your wrist which the announcers do not key in on or something is still wrong with check swings.

Yeah, Ive seen some where I check and they look to the line ref for a ruling but many others play out like the first scenario I described.

Hmm, I havent had that happen. But Ill keep an eye out for it.

So far when I've checked my swing on a ball outside the zone it properly gets called a ball. Are you sure maybe you just didnt hold up?

If anything my only complaint with check swings is they dont seem sensitive enough.. sometimes I yank back on the stick but my player doesnt even attempt checking..

I guess is should rephrase it haha, bc i've never successfully checked my swing. I just seen the cpu do it, so it is possible!
