Does this game still have that problem? Because young 22 year old rising stars shouldn't be ok with re-signing for 7 years @ $1mil/yr. It ruins the fun and realism, and adding extra years on a contract shouldn't always make a player more likely to resign like it did in last years game. Sometimes players only want a 3 or 4 year deal so they can be a FA when they hit their prime to make the huge $$$!

Contracts in Franchise Mode?
I mostly just play franchise mode, but have been unable to have fun with the constant issues with player contracts. In 2K8 or 2K9 players asked for too much so players like Pujols would sit in FA for years. They patched that and made it so players would re-sign for dirt cheap and there would NEVER be any free agents.

Re: Contracts in Franchise Mode?
One thing I will say is that the contract's dollar value and years look to be right. In years past this information had no correlation to real-life numbers. Looks like this year 2K got it right. I have not simmed through a season. If all of the superstars are getting resigned, then team budgets might be too large and affording too much available funding.Originally posted by Edmund BurkeAll that is needed for the triumph of evil, is for good men to do nothing.Comment

Re: Contracts in Franchise Mode?
About 2 out of every 5 seasons you'll see a few guys rated 88 and above. Normally every year you'll get a guy or two rated above 88. A few instances where there's a bunch in the range of 80-85 and nothing higher.
I actually like the variety of FAs however, it's still way too easy to sign them. I've never missed on a FA if I had a modest budget.Comment

Re: Contracts in Franchise Mode?
From what I read the dollar value of contracts have seemed OK.
Its the number of few FA's that are high rated that seems to be a problem.
I cant form my own opinion yet since I havent got that far in a franchise. But this is what I have read from others.Comment
