I just picked up the game and have been playing in My Player mode. My question is, is it possible to get promoted to AAA? I played a season in double A, did spring training, built my player up to a 75 OVR but was sent back down to Double A. I thought I would have at least went up to AAA or is AAA only for injury rehab and what not?

But last year when I was playing 2K11 I got sent to AAA in season 2 of MyPlayer as a pitcher. I hadnt accumulated enough stats to get to MLB, but at the start of season 2 it sent me to AAA.
So you finished all of season 1, and in season 2 they sent you right back to AA? Try getting some stats up, but not quite MLB stats and see where they send you. -
Re: Play in Triple A?
Yeah, I was sent right back to AA. I am in the Rays organization as a catcher with an OVR of 75 (the starter for the rays is a 69). I have 89 ratings in both PWR stats and 71 in both contact stats so I can hit for AVG and PWR. When I was sent back down, I have the same goals as last year. Last season I played the whole season in AA on purpose (not increasing key stats on purpose) but I guess that worked against me.
For season 2, i have already met the rating goals but I have to play at least 20 games. Its disappointing since I wanted to play for the Durham Bulls for a season.....Comment

Re: Play in Triple A?
I played AAA. I met the requirements in AA but right in time for Spring Training. I played all of Spring Training, but didn't make the team so they sent me down to AA again. Then once I played the 20 games (I met all the other requirements), they sent me up to AAA. Then once I met those requirements, I went to the Pros right before the all star break.
And I too didn't raise key stats, just to make sure I played a complete year in AA, which helped because It made my stats overall better. The problem for you though, is once you do make it to AAA, you most likely will not play the full season there, because by 20 games or so, you will have the stats to go to the pros.
It was fun.Last edited by Krower; 03-24-2012, 04:48 PM.Comment

Re: Play in Triple A?
Don't complete all of your ratings goals. Bring one rating stat up to just one SP shy of making the goal. Once you play your 20 games and have met all of your playing stat goals, you will get moved up to AAA. It explains it in the Player Handbook menu selection.Make #FranchiseNation great again!
