    Game difficulty severely bugged?

Maybe somebody can help me with a problem I have been having with MLB 2k12.

I play MLB 2k12 with MYPlayer mode as a pitcher, and either the difficulty is severely bugged, or I don't understand what is going on.

Basically, I started playing a pitcher on (what I think is) pro difficulty. After my second year I noticed that my pitcher finished the year with a better ERA by about 2 than any other pitcher in the game (my rating was only 65). Obviously I was ready for a harder difficulty level.

So I started over this time on all-star. It seemed better until I got to the regular season. Basically pitching was way too easy still. So I changed the difficulty to custom and made the cpu batter contact and power much higher. It seemed to have no effect, opposing hitters couldn't even hit a change-up thrown right over the plate.

So I cranked the sliders to 100 for cpu batting contact and power. No difference, they still can't hit worth beans. They failed to hit change-ups and fastballs thrown right over the plate.

It seems that upon actually getting called up to the majors for a regular season, the difficulty is stuck on something pathetically easy no matter what I put the sliders on.

Am I doing something wrong? How do I make sure that the current difficulty level is at the last place in the slider menu that I visited? There appears to be no way to save the difficulty, and my current difficulty isn't listed anywhere.

    Can anyone help me?

Are you changing the sliders through the options in the my player mode? Or check them while your playing a game. Just pause and go into the options and see if they are set.

Regardless, pitching is extremely dominant this year anyway. I play using MK's sliders with contact at 75 and Power at 100 and it still seems way to easy to pitch (as well with user control at 15). Not much we can do really until a patch is release that will up the frequency of CPU contact or power.

I am adjusting them through the options menu once the my player menu options are ready.

I don't see anyway to check the difficulty options once a game is underway.

Maybe the only answer is to hamper your pitching control and other pitching options, as I can't see how changing the cpu batting contact and power makes any difference.

Sounds similar to the issue I had with MLB 2K5. Pitching was too easy, so I ended up lowering all my pitchers' ratings to compensate. My pitchers were all rated in the 40s and 50s, it was the only way I could get the CPU to actually hit the ball once in a while.

I think maybe it has to do with the difficulty you adjust from. I i am using a mix between mks and bigfnjoe's sliders with my own tweaks like catcher throwing power and such but i customized them from the legend setting and i have my cpu batting 60-80 and am having the time of my life.

First game in my season with the Red Sox, Verlander and LEster had a pitching duel final score 4-1 with me having 8 hits and the cpu having 7. Then I play the Blue Jays and have a run fest and won 11-10 with me having 13 hits and the cpu having 15. My last game was against the Rays and I lost 9-4 so i am having amazing results with the slider set.

So try customizing your sliders for the legend setting and see what happens...but again this is in my franchise not myplayer so they could be different
