I play MLB 2k12 with MYPlayer mode as a pitcher, and either the difficulty is severely bugged, or I don't understand what is going on.
Basically, I started playing a pitcher on (what I think is) pro difficulty. After my second year I noticed that my pitcher finished the year with a better ERA by about 2 than any other pitcher in the game (my rating was only 65). Obviously I was ready for a harder difficulty level.
So I started over this time on all-star. It seemed better until I got to the regular season. Basically pitching was way too easy still. So I changed the difficulty to custom and made the cpu batter contact and power much higher. It seemed to have no effect, opposing hitters couldn't even hit a change-up thrown right over the plate.
So I cranked the sliders to 100 for cpu batting contact and power. No difference, they still can't hit worth beans. They failed to hit change-ups and fastballs thrown right over the plate.
It seems that upon actually getting called up to the majors for a regular season, the difficulty is stuck on something pathetically easy no matter what I put the sliders on.
Am I doing something wrong? How do I make sure that the current difficulty level is at the last place in the slider menu that I visited? There appears to be no way to save the difficulty, and my current difficulty isn't listed anywhere.
Can anyone help me?
