Need to be able to manage in my player

I'm pitching in my player and I believe the managing is way out of whack...I'm in the 11th inning well over my pitch count and they still have me pitching, i've gotten 2 losses like this now cause im pitching way over extended...My player needs an option to tell the manager your done.

Re: Need to be able to manage in my player

It hasn't happened to me, but I don't play My Player enough. Last year, I was always taken out TOO soon and would end up getting nothing because I would be taken out with the lead and the reliever would blow it.
But I don't think there should be an option to tell the manager you're done. MLB players don't go "hey manager, take me out.. I'm sweating too much out here, there is sand in my shoes, and my shoulder is starting to get sore. I want to go sit down." MLB players NEVER ask to be taken out unless they are injured. And even then some don't even say anything. They need to re-work the Managing system, that is all. Not add an un-realistic option.

Edit this should also be in the Impressions thread or Feedback. Not here.

My bad that its not in the right location, you are correct a player would never ask to leave a game but its not too often a pitcher goes more than 9 innings I know of a few 10 inning CG thrown but im on back to back..lol

lol I'm not a mod, don't have to say sorry. But yes, I know what you mean. Even in the AAA, I had pitchers go for way longer than normal. And when I reach MLB, I pitch a lot of complete games except when I am losing, then they take me out. But after I finish a 9-inning game, I have enough gas in the tank to go another 5. And it is partially due to managing system. But mostly because pitching is very easy in my player.
Try adjusting your pitching stamina(I don't know if you can do it in my player or not, but try) and try editing your difficulty sliders. I suggest trying mkharsh's or any of them if you have not already.

Will be using MKharsh sliders and rosters for franchise, so I'll look into tweaking the myplayer, if 2k does go on to making another game they need to look into managing tendancies, if I was on the rangers I could see pitching way more pitches, but most teams cap there starters out...lol

Guess I just hate getting the loss instead of a no decision cause my offense can't score a damn run in 9 innings when I'm pitching a gem....Btw the 2014 yankees in this game are terrible no offense

Yea, I agree they do need to fix it. And yes, in My Player for some reason a great offensive team is not so great when you sim them. Lol.

But the way I look at it is, I loved 2K10 and 2K11. And I love 2K12. Even though people think it is the same game, I look at is as: "Why fix what ain't broke". But I do think they should improve some things and add new features.
