Re: MLB Today Season Already Broken

MLB Today just screws my roster up. After making the corrections (that 2k should be doing) when I load MLB Today, the roster is totally different. I'd rather keep my (correct rosters and lineups) as opposed to trusting 2K to do it.

It was an interesting idea but one that couldn't be executed. How can they possibly deliver accurate lineups the day of the game when they aren't determined until just before the game? If they had really thought it through they would have seen it just wasn't possible. They always overpromise and underdeliver!

While the live season mode may be lacking, the depth of the rosters is impressive. Even with minor league call ups, I am much more often than not able to assemble the correct line-ups to play the games I am interested in.

I think an MLB calendar feature, where you could play any past game with correct line-ups, weather, etc., any day after the game was played would be awesome.

Yeah, I think a better idea would've been something like NBA Live 10's Rewind Mode where you could go back and play any game on the current season calendar. The games would have accurate lineups that way, since you're not trying to forecast the future; they'd be built off of what showed up in that game's boxscore.

Started this mode and noticed that scores and stats haven't been updated since May 31.

I guess when 2K pulls the plug on a series, they go all in.

It's a shame, as this mode is fun to play, but without the updated stats, not as much.

I was thinking that since a new roster was released it would be a good sign that the plug has not been totally pulled. Not sure if the MLB today stats feed is broken on 2K's side or maybe at the source. Either way they should be required to get it fixed.

It's tough to trust any company with a feature that you have to rely on for them to carry through with in the future, as opposed to something that's already integrated in the game. Things don't always work out as you hope.

Aspects of MLB today and Live Season come from STATS, INC. They are usually better than 2k, more accurate, like showing the correct starting pitcher, who may not even be on 2k's active roster.
