I just started my Detroit Tigers Franchise and I'm simming spring training. I lost Miguel Crabrera for 60 days. I was offered Dan Uggla for Victor Martinez, which I believe should be on the DL but says he's in triple A. What should I do?

That's the beauty of a franchise...you make the decisions that make or break a season or more...sorry I don't follow the Tigers, I'm a cubbies and Jays fan, so I wouldn't have an accurate answer, however I always look on their upside or downside in their careers, also ask yourself a question: 'What is my most pressing need?' That may help you in your decision! Good luck in your franchise

Why would the Braves want to do that trade? Assuming that they don't have a injury themselves, they have McCann at catcher and Freeman at first-base. I don't see them giving up one of their best power hitters and middle infielders (who they're short on as is) to put on of those three guys on the bench.

It's your game and of course you are allowed to do whatever you want. However, if your striving for realism then I would turn it down.

Why not offer Martinez for Chipper Jones? Jones will no doubt land on the DL within a week, making it an even trade -- one old fart with injuries for another, straight up.

I'd keep Martinez, but he's in AAA because you can't create a full-season injury in the normal rosters. If you want to keep it realistic, leave him in the minors for the season (or until he comes back, which would be September, I believe, at the absolute earliest).
