Need help on looking for hitters for Petco

I'm trying to find some players that fit Petco better than my current lineup.

I want the players to be young so like 25 and under. No top of the line prospects like Ackley etc.

Any help would be awesome! Thanks!

Well, you have Yonder Alonso and he has great power. Maybe make a trade for Adam Jones of the Orioles?

The problem for trying to think of players for you is that PETCO is where HRs go to die. That park just takes away power. I think of it as the 2011 Citi Field of the West Coast.

One last thing would be to try and trade for Cespedes.

I know it's not a HR park, that's why i'm trying to get hitters that match Petco. For example a player like Dustin Pedroia because he's a good gap hitter. I'm looking for semi speedy gap kind of hitters, not like a Prince fielder.

I think the mega-power guys like Fielder, Pujols and Bautista would go yard in any stadium on this game.

Not sure what roster set you're using, but if it's mine, I'd suggest calling up Matt Clark from AAA.... That man is gonna be a player and has a great deal of potential. If I were a Padres fan and doing a franchise, I'd call him up right away and trade one of my extra outfielders for some infield help.

Sorry, saw help for PETCO and incorrectly assumed power. Maybe try to trade for Pirates prospect Starling Marte (SP?) or Brett Gardner.

Brett Gardner is cool but I already got Cameron Maybin.

I'm looking for someone with like 80+ speed and decent power, enough power for a gap hitter.

Howie Kendrick. I don't know how easy it would be to get him though.

Some guys I would think about: Ryan Kalish (Boston). Shouldn't take much to get him, was a great prospect a couple years back but has been hit w/injuries. Was close to a 20/20 guy in the minors.

Lorenzo Cain has less power, but is a good fielder with some speed and gap power.

Andy Dirks is 26, but he has some power/speed.

Zach Cozart is an option in the infield at a valuable position.

JD Martinez for the Astros is a guy I really like, would probably take a bit more to get him though.

Anyway, those are the guys I thought of off the top of my head. Maybe Josh Reddick too from Oakland. Good luck, San Diego is a challenge because of Petco.

If i'm the Padres, what do you think it would realistically take to land these guys. Would appreciate if you looked at the Padres roster and thought of some realistic trade for these players.

                        Jose Tabata (OF PIT)
                        J.D. Martinez (OF HOU)
                        Zack Cozart (SS, CIN)
                        Wilson Ramos (C, WAS)
                        Michael Brantley (OF CLE)
                        Ryan Lavarnway (C, BOS)

Martinez will be difficult. I don't know if Rymer Liraino is in your roster set as a minor leaguer, but he's a legit 5 tool talent, though he's still raw. Pair him w/Andrew Cashner and another minor leaguer and I think you're close.

I think Tabata is pretty much off limits for Pittsburgh. It would take a similar package as Martinez though, possibly a bit more since he has a higher ceiling.

Cozart could be easy. With Didi Gregarious and eventually Billy Hamilton in the fold, they have higher ceiling replacements. I'd give them your current shortstop, whether that be Bartlett or someone else, and Cashner and a lower level prospect.

Ramos is tough. Can't think of a package the Nationals would be interested in unless you give them Liraino, Wieland, Hundley, and a lower tier prospect like Robbie Erlin (Again not sure if he's in your game).

Brantley for Cashner or Wieland makes sense to me.

Lavarnway's tough since he's supposed to be Boston's catcher of the future. They lack upper level pitching prospects though, so Erlin would make sense, as would Casey Kelly, though then you'd probably want a prospect back as well.

Why do you say Tabata has a higher ceiling? Tabata is a 4* and Martinez is a 5*

As for the other ones I like those suggestions

Aren't they both 4*'s in the game?

Tabata is a beast in the game regardless, able to play all 3 OF spots, and be an excellent leadoff man. The game has his age wrong, which is actually a plus, and he is an absolutely phenomenal player overall. I did a fantasy draft and took him, only to trade him away at an absolutely stellar offer. He then proceeded to win MVP. SMH.
