    Walkoff Animation Issues

Bottom of the 9th bases loaded then my hitter gets a single to right field. After the guy from 3rd scores the player that hit the single just walks back to the dugout. Hits a walkoff and there are no celebrations, no hand shaking absolutely no excitement in the game.

I don't know how many of you have experienced this same issue, but its not making this game fun to play when this keeps happening

I made a thread about this awhile back but people just kept saying 'I haven't played enough games to see any celebrations' or that my game winning homer in the 9th 'wasn't exciting enough' yada yada yada.

I have seen several celebrations, but most end up just the way you described it. It's a shame really since playing a really good game can end up being so anti-climactic.

Not only that celebrations are lacking. I think that emotions generally are lacking. It would be very nice when the home crowd gets louder or less noisy depending on what's happening on the field, what stage of the season it is and who you play against. It would also be nice to see emotions by the bullpen/bench players or even the coaches that start to argue with the umpires when they see a questionable decision.

This hasn't changed in years, don't know why you are all suddenly surprised now...

Last night, I was fortunate enough to hit a walk-off homer with David Ortiz. I got the "pull-back" camera with the slo-mo HR swing animation, as well as fireworks, shots of the crowd cheering (although some looked like flat 2D cardboard panels), and the rest of the team waiting for him at home plate.

However, I have had those games where the "walk-off" was just a single, as described in the original post, but were nonetheless just as dramatic as a HR, and I too was disappointed at the lack of "celebration/atmosphere".

I had one once where I lost to the Angels via walkoff single, the camera pulled back to show Kendry Morales (the guy who would have batted next) standing there waiting to take his AB. He was the player of the game, and the camera zoomed in on him with his bat on his shoulders looking out towards an empty pitching mound. And that was it. I probably would have been more annoyed if I didn't find it so ridiculously funny.

Just had one of these last game. Game winning RBI single, no celebration or anything.

The only time i really noticed a celebration was a no-hitter or a walk off HR.

Agreed. I threw a CG shutout with one hit. The announcers were flipping out. What did the pitcher do? Hug the catcher and head home.
