MLB 2K12 - real-life game stats not updating in MLB Today mode
I didn't play the first 20 or so games of the MLB Today season for the Texas Rangers, but now for the past couple of weeks I've been playing every game along side them. Previously, all the stats were updating correctly. When I'd start MLB Today, the game would connect to the server and show all the game details from the start of the season being downloaded. Since yesterday however, this doesn't seem to be happening. For example, when I went to play yesterday's game, all of my players had their stats completely blanked to zero - no at-bats, avg, etc. I played the game anyway, hoping that eventually the stats from all the older games would be included and that maybe there was just a brief glitch that prevented the stats from being downloaded. However, now I'm trying to play today's game, and again the stats are not being updated. All of my hitting stats are only from yesterday's game.

Re: MLB 2K12 - real-life game stats not updating in MLB Today mode
I just recently purchased the game and am actually enjoying the MLB Today mode. However, I just realized I was having the same problem as mentioned above.
I've been doing some searches online and it sounds like it's a problem, but I haven't come across any type of fix.
Anyone else?Chicago Blackhawks - Chicago Cubs - Toronto Maple Leafs

I'm pretty disappointed in the evolution of MLB Today. It was one of my favorite modes, but they have not supported it very well at all since launching it a few versions ago.
They never get a good ASG, updates are lacking, fatigue is never used, so you get a full bullpen every night, and they do a mediocre job of getting roster moves done.
I had high hopes for the MLB Today Season mode, but there are a bunch of reasons that was a bad idea. For one, if you've been playing it all season long, and had the Phillies ready to finish off a playoff run, how much would suck to lose Victorino?
And I was a huge proponents of a season mode. It's just in practice, it got limitations that I don't think can be overcome.
Had they not gotten franchise play down as well as they have, I would be much more down on this version of the game. But the day-to-day running of the team in franchise mode is a blast, and more fun than MLB Today, to me.
But the series is dead. There is no use expecting 2K to continue to throw resources at a game that is losing them money.Comment
