Need some tips

1. First time playing the series and I see in all the slider threads HUM contact has been reduced so i assume hitting on this game is somewhat easy, yet i can not hit at all. Nothing but weak fly balls and soft grounders... and these are on pitches well within the zone. What am i doing wrong?

2. When fielding often times i'll try to throw to a base and my player will throw to a completely different base. Is this a glitch or am i throwing too early or something like that? Any tips?

1) It takes time to get used to. Are you using classic or analog batting? If the latter are you using contact/defensive/power swings in the right situations? If so, try adjusting the contact/power sliders.

2) You're pressing the wrong buttons.

1) Could just be that the game engine likes to screw you over. Seriously, I've used Classic batting, swung at a pitch that lit the zone, down the middle, perfect bat positioning, perfect timing and...weak flyball to center. LAME!!!

2) You could also be loading a yellow throw. Sometimes, when loading a throw, if you end in the yellow the fielder will throw to the wrong place. Aim for green.

bump up pitch speed to at least 75 for both. i play on pro with pitch speed at 75, also need to take down cpu pitcher compsure to about 25-30, last but not least user and cpu outfield and infield running speed to 10. keeps it fun for a beginner.
