I really think I'm giving up on this game, and seris. It's just terrible, if you havent try using the Pirates, with starters contact's and powers in the 40's and 50's. These are pro players, and should at least be 60. Graphics are sad compared to NBA and ESPN NFL. Simply put, I'm done.

I wish the NHL devs would take a page out of MLB 2K12's ratings spread. It's probably the best of any console sports game I have ever played.

This is a fact. Plus ratings matter in this game as they usually do in all 2K games, which isn't the case with other game companies' games.

I'd add that PARTICULAR ratings matter in PARTICULAR situations - you sometimes have to really judge outfield prowess vs batting, looking at a particular pitch of a pitcher vs another etc.

So many other games have a single stat that trumps all - whether it be speed etc in football games.

The only problem with 2k's ratings are in nba 2k - because superstars are just ridiculously abusable (I guess similar to real life). But you don't really fall into such a problem in mlb 2k.
