    Power swing timing

    Hey guys

I am struggling at hitting in mlb2k12. All foul or pop ups. I had a question after reading all your posts about using power with all batters on favorable counts.

Specific to the power swing: do you have to time the step and the forward swing correctly? Or can you pull back before the pitcher starts his wind up, then wait, the just forward swing?

    Thanks for the help!

Just simply pull back and push forward while timing the pitch correctly.

Thanks for the response. But I don't think that's my question. Can I pull back before the pitcher starts his windup and just move the stick forward or does it have to be a quick back and forth after te pitch has been released?

I try to pull back on the stick just as the pitcher goes into his leg kick. I have been practicing more and have hit a lot more home runs by doing this and focusing on the release point of the ball.

Some games I can get two home runs, some I get 2 singles. Good luck!

There's no step-influence aspect to hitting anymore, they removed that feature 3 years ago. You can pull back and hold at any time and for as long as you want, makes no difference.
