    Player ratings

In my franchise year 1 I had Ichiro Suzuki on my team. He had like a .350 batting avg, 220 hits, and 35 stolen bases. When I went to start year 2 I noticed Ichiro attributes went down. By down I mean like 5 speed points and also 5 points to his overall rating. Anyone know why he got worse?

Well age could be the only logical reason.

It's a simulation, so it's a best-guess scenario. Best guess here is that as a player gets to a certain point his skills will start to erode. I think this is fairly accurate.

I finished one season with the Mets and RA Dickey decided to retire. I know he's getting on in age but I think a knuckleball pitcher aughta be able to make it at least a few more years, but the game doesn't go into that level of detail.

Age. After a player reaches his "Peak End" Age, His attributes will start regressing.
