I just fired up my Saturn over thanksgiving break and started playing the WSB 98 season I had going way back when. Once I got over the graphics being terrible (first year they used a polygon engine for WSB), I realized something kinda odd and scary. Many of the animations from WSB 98 look IDENTICAL to the ones in WSB and WSB 2k3 for Xbox. I don't know what company produced WSB 98, but I think Blue Shift took the animations and implemented them into their baseball game. To add to that, the problem of "one base at a time" from WSB on Xbox was nearly identical in WSB 98 as well. It's nearly impossible to score from second base on a single in both games, and forget about getting a double down the line. Sorry for the off topic post, I just thought it was kinda interesting that both games were so similar even though one is on "state of the art" technology and one is way outdated.
