Even though he has been known to joke (BOTH Pared and FP), both posters can have insightful meanings, and both made sense... but weren't obvious.
FatPitcher, even I didn't know what you meant. However, from what you said, it kind of seems like you didn't fully understand what Pared meant. Pared didn't fully explain what I meant by momentum either, nor by the whole analog stick thing.
Another way that you could use the analog stick in fielding is for turning (the main thing I was talking about). You don't make direct angles and cuts, they make kind of wider turns and lean (if ANYBODY understands what I mean please respond... if you don't know what I mean, please play Madden, ESPN Football, any hockey game, watch any sport where they have to turn, or try sprinting and make a full 180 while sprinting.).
This is what I mean by momentum. If leaning is a better term, that's what I mean. If "running on ice" is a better term, that's what I mean. Momentum also has to do with what someone else said (it may have been Pared, too lazy to look back), where if you want to turn around another way, you would have to slow down, and turn around. You can't COMPLETELY come to a halt, you need to slow down before you stop, and then you can turn around.
Please download Madden videos or play Madden for an exaggerated version of momentum, something that I'm talking about mostly. ESPN adds a little momentum, and a pretty good leaning system when you turn. Watch those videos or play that game also.
Does ANYBODY follow me? If you do, please let me know if this is a good idea for baseball games or not... because it adds realism.
