Tell me, does it makes a bigger difference if I know today or in 4 weeks? Is anything they release, or any other game company, anything but PR marketing spin?

Here's what we know. They released a set of features that is basically copy and pasted from last year's game. We know that they never intended to release a game this year, but are doing so at the request of MLB.

What Lovesports is doing, is trolling this forum. This is what you are doing. We aren't dumb. We actually know exactly what we will be getting this year. If you didn't like it last year, you won't like it this year. In fact, you know you won't like it this year, yet you keep posting in this forum.

Either we have a ton of new people in this forum or people have extremely short memories. 2K is terrible at steady and timely information. Has been for some time. Even the great and popular NBA series isn't handled very well (when compared to other sports game developers). The lack of info is essentially par for the course. I do agree that it has gotten even worse the past couple of years, but I don't think it takes higher-level thinking to connect the dots as to why that is.

They (2K) really haven't released anything. The "feature list" everyone is talking about was pulled directly from gamestop.com, not 2K.

Regarding the troll, why do the mods let people get away with posts like this, while a lot of users with good information, comments, helpful posts, rosters, good sliders, etc, are listed as "banned?"

Maybe they will have a demo since the show's not having one this year although im a show guy and would only rent this game from redbox just to try it.. I also heard its basically just a 60 dollar roster update. With that said The Show it is 100%

Considering the only info and picture was 'released' by Gamestop I wouldn't even put much stock into that. Gamestop is not a real beacon of accuracy.

2K has never invested much in the marketing of 2K, or done it wisely. Now that this game is running on a shoe string I don't expect much in the way of advertising. However, it would be nice if one of the developers could pop a few recent screens or even a video up on the official site. Not every game gets a Halo sized ad blitz, but you can at least find a few dozen screen shots of even the most obscure title a month before release.

I guess they are figuring what does it matter - the only people buying this are the same people who supported it all these years - bad marketing and all.

That's not why they're not releasing info about the game though. I don't think they care about forum "trolls". Apparently, I'm one..

Maybe there is no reason to advertise the game, but they are advertising it. Also, isn't the million dollar thing happening this year ?

Mt Oread, it's mostly because what they release isn't what anybody wants to hear. Not with regards to the actual improvement that was made, but the thing that was spoken of. But make no mistake... their in-depth blogs are phenomenal, and make this game become a great on-paper experience. You can tell that it's not just monkeys working at their studios. They have incredible talent and enthusiasm, but are sometimes poorly managed and don't highlight their top points very well, at least not to the OS crowd.
