I know it will not go away but I'm sick of getting reported posts on my phone from the same guys about the same things over and over regarding 2k vs. The Show for something as trivial as this.

I would wait until March 5th and see the reviews.. 2K never delivers a quality baseball game. I used to play 2K but once I got The Show I have never thought about going back.

          Fingers-crossed 2K13 is an improvement from 2K12.

While I disagree 2k doesn't deliver a quality baseball game (I thought 2k12 was a quality game), I absolutely agree about waiting on 2k13 until we see some reviews. The late announcement, combined with the complete lack of information about any improvements, makes me very concerned about this being anything more than an expensive roster update.

How is the soundtrack on MLB 2k12? For complete immersion, I need a quality soundtrack on the menus (one of my only gripes with NBA 2k13 this year). I've never been a baseball fan, but this year I'll try to become one, and buying an MLB game goes a long way towards that goal. I do not have a PS3, so The Show is out of the question.

Honestly, I think in the end, it'll come down to whether or not MKHarsh gets 13 and does his roster/slider edits.

If you have 5 bucks to toss try MLB 2k9. That is the game they should have worked off of. Check out the running animations and general graphics. Gameplay might not be perfect but it is a fun little game.

I'd go one step further and suggest 2K8. It was better than 2K9, and has the ultimate feature 2K stripped ut, which is three step pitching, and the payoff pitch meta game.

the game got loads of grief because it released with frame rate issues that made it almost unplayable. but they not only patched it, but Microsoft finally introduced saving games to the hard drive that cleaned it up further.

That is the base game that it should have been built off of. But 2K fired Kush over the abysmal state they released the game in, and VC tried to use their code to release 2K9 in a short development window, which created a lot of issues.

I had given up on baseball games after a horrendous experience with 2K9, figured I'd give a heavily discounted 2K12 a shot. With almost no time between the annoucnement and the release of 2K13, I figured that game would just be a roster update...and truthfully, there's nothing good in my team's 2013 roster.

This particular forum is much more civilized than The Show's. Sure wish we could get this there. Sigh....

Btw, arguing over which game is better doesn't do anything other than piss mods off. People have their game they want to play. I prefer The Show but that doesn't mean I (or anyone for that matter) have to right to go to another forum and trash their game of choice. People really need to just grow up and stop acting like privileged children.

I wish there was more pull for 2K13 this year. I was so stoked about it. I've had a PS3 and XBOX for 3 years and only bought 2K, I guess the lack of any hype has me reconsidering 13

I've had 2K12 for a good while now. With the recent roster updates posted for the PS3 and the Anticipation attribute adjustment discovered by shogun, it makes me a little unsure if I want to purchase 2K13.

Is it worth the $60 for the correct division alignments and some roster tweaks?

I am going to try both games out. I am sick of the comparisons as well. I know a lot of people who enjoy MLB 2k and can't stand The Show. I usually play MLB 2k for the first month or so, start a franchise, and then when the OSFM are out, I will start my franchise on there. Both games are enjoyable in respect, The Show is just a little more polished. I enjoy both games though. To each there own, stop trolling the 2k forums people, it's old news.

wish there was some confirmation about online franchise/dynasty. Did 12 have this?
