4.5. They're going to say it was 'rushed' and more or less a roster update and a few minor tweaks.

MLB 2K12 had an average score of 68/100 and I expect 2K13 to get close to the same.
It may get a slightly lower grade if it doesn't have many upgrades beyond smoother animations and a roster update.

I felt 2K12 was a 7.5/10 game. I won't rehash all the things I thought it did well, but I thought it was a strong baseball game.

If 2K13 is smoother with less bugs, I know I'll be happy with it.

I can't see giving this game a similar score to 2K12 if it's little more than the roster update we're expecting. Last year most of the "good" reviews characterized the game as nothing more than a polished version of 2k11. 2K12 added MLB Today, more depth to situation one-on-one situation with batters and pitchers, a different throwing system, and expanded MyPlayer. What is 2K13 in comparison to 2K12? I would hope that reviewers would expect a game to improve from year to year, and give an appropriate rating if it does not.

6.0/60's range. I think it'll get hammered as a rehash that has no significant upgrades over the 2K12 game.

High 60's/Low 70's depending on the reviewer. Overall my personal rating so far is higher than expected.

7.5/10 from me.

I'm going to go with a 6.0. Too many similarities to 2k12 to get high reviews. I believe the reviews will read like this.

"All that's needed is a Roster update!!! Keep with the 2k12 this year and save some money. Hopefully EA will try to obtain the rights for next season. In addition, the major leagues are still riddled with AI issues, players unwilling to work, and blinding lights. I give it a 6.0 only because I want a baseball game out there, and I do not own a PS3!"

Ah, so you believe that all game reviews should only be of improvements? If that was the case, vary rarely would you see a review above a 3-4. Also, that would mean that Madden 13 only should have received a 4... maybe!
