    Why would anyone . . .

buy MLB 2k13 when seeing that MLB 2k12 simply stopped working for the PC and 2k has done nothing to fix it? Yeah, there is a work-around, making you change the date on your PC, but, come on, 2k just lets their product expire without reason? Not even a response from 2k (like saying they are working on it). It is one of the biggest disgraces I have ever seen in gaming. I will absolutely only buy used copies of 2k games from now on; they do not deserve my money. Not sure if this effected the console versions of 2k12 or just the PC (I only have the PC version). I guess next Ford will have the 2012 Mustang stop working in 2013, assuming you'll buy the 2013 version? As you might grasp, I am decidedly pissed.

I bought it for the 360, not PC.

Disposable income, latest rosters, short-term memory, forgiving nature, new to the series, feel 2K13 is an improvement.

      That's my list.

Your 2K12-Ford analogy isn't right. More correctly, Ford would have had to build a 2012 Mustang that only started once you reset the time on the dashboard clock.

There was an issue with the franchise calendar where the franchise wouldn't progress until one changed the date on their PC, bizarre as it sounds.

Nope, worse than that. It freezes at the loading screen. You can't play any mode. Somehow the game has an expiration date. Apparently resetting the date on your PC to back in 2012 makes the game work (I am not really interested in resetting the date on my PC each time I play, so I have not tried the work-around).

Daylight savings time must be a real bitch for 2K then!

No excuse for 2K on this one. Still to not play the game when a program like beyondo takes all of 10 seconds seems almost as bad.

Because you wanted to own the last thing 2K Sports made before they get shuttered.
