    ESPN preview in OXM

Official Xbox Mag has a "spring training" article rounding up early looks at the new baseball games. Here's what they have to say about ESPN:

    Last year's score: 8.8

How's it look?: Just as nice as last year, with some new touches here and there.

How's it play: Again, just as well as last year. The cursor batting has been dumped in favor of zone batting, but the game doesn't seem to have suffered.

Coolest feature: Potentially, it's first person baseball, but we haven't seen this yet. It turned out great in ESPN Football, and it would be amazing on the diamond.

Biggest weakness: ...but on the other hand it might not be. We need to see this before passing judgement. What's the benefit of first person pitching, for example.

    Online: Hellz yeah.

The final word: Looks and plays great once again, but will there be enough new goodies to keep it on top?

From reading those previews, it sounds like they're going to rank the baseball games like this:

          1. MVP

          2. ESPN

          3. Slugfest

          4. ASB

                            Jets has the hookup:

It's small but at least you can see the screens.

Here's a bigger one, just copy and paste into your browser:
