Dynamic Weather?

Has anyone heard whether or not there will be dynamic weather conditions in this year's game? Sega has been promising this for their baseball games ever since the Dreamcast days, but it has not yet been implemented. Just curious...

I've heard "no" from somewhere, but don't quote me. Maybe I'm just thinking of last years interview...

I really hope its in the game. To have wind actually be a factor and some light rain maybe that would be sweet.

and some hot and cold temps(fatigue, endurance) --sun/shadows should play a role too

Hmm... according to last year's WSB 2K3 big article, I don't recall them saying that they even wanted different weather:

Quote:

Operation Sports: Will there be rain?

David Perkinson: The weather is always beautiful in World Series Baseball land. We have several different types of skies, complete with moving clouds, and park-specific wind conditions, but no inclement weather.

And besides, I hate it when they can't do the rain well enough... ASB has this and there are too many rainy games during the summer. It's not right.

The only reason I would want non-baseball weather (rain - sleet & snow for us in the midwest ) would be for the ballparks that have retractable roofs... I want Miller Park's roof opened and closed as the game is different under each circumstance... does anyone know if any of the games will have the retractable roofs opened sometimes and closed others?
