What they're trying to do is cut corners because the average gamers doesn't have 3 hours to finish a game. I personally would love to see something like the catcher throw the ball back at the pitcher but maybe it's a time thing.

ASB_Man, lead developer for All Star Baseball 2005 said that they cut the "catcher throwback" from the game simply because it added 5 minutes of gametime. It's 5 *** **** minutes! Why couldn't they just leave it in and make a toggleable option for the user to turn it on/off. Sheesh...

I barely have enough time to watch a real game. They can keep their 5 minutes. It will always just be a game. Never once has one of the Yankees drunk fans run out on the field during one of my games. Until we've reached that level we will always be far behind in the realism race.

Does ASB2005 support online play? I always thought they cut the throwback out to speed-up the online play.

Yes they do, but why cut catcher throwback for offline play? Why not just build a quick toggleable option to please both sides of the fence. I'm sure those of us who want catcher throwback could muster up 5 more minutes of our time to see the catching throwing the ball back to the pitcher.

Options, that's all I want. Don't cut something out if it's already been implemented, I mean what is the point? Sure it saves memory, but come on.
