Hey guys I just picked up MLB 2K11 to see how the series was before I got 13 but I have a question. In '11 when a ball is hit in the gap in the outfield sometimes the closest player will not be selected. I've hit every button on the controller but cannot switch to the closest player to the ball. Tell me there is a way to do this. It has resulted in multiple CPU triples and homeruns in my games. I'm having a ton of fun with the game but obviously not being able to change to the player closest to the ball is a killer and has cost me dearly in games. Any advice is appreciated!

So NOBODY has run into this problem? Well at least there is an active forum community to support the 2K series.

Well, you hit A to switch. You said you hit every button, so I don't know how much this will help you.
Do you have the game set to auto-fielding, possibly?Comment

Thanks man, I will try the A button (X for me since I'm on PS3). No I do not have auto-fielding on. I just appreciate your response because I know anyone who purchased this game the past two years has had this problem but noone will give me an answer.Comment
