    Hit and Run - 2K13

Is there anyone else having trouble performing a hit and run? I'll have a guy on first set to steal, hit the ball, and then they stop mid-way to 2nd base.

No, it's been working perfectly for me. The only reason for a guy to stop is if you hit a fly ball. But I've executed more hit and runs in 2K13 than I have in the past.

One think that might help is using the LS to direct your hit away in order to drive it through the hole the SS or 2B leave when they break for second on the steal. That's how the play is supposed to work.

so if the ball is outside, you get the nice power bonus for going with the pitch, which should result in a nice hit, maybe for extra bases. If it is not outside, then you take a hit on the power, but that might turn a flyball into a grounder that still sneaks through the hole the infielder has left.

I miss the old MVP system. I think you could use the d-pad for set plays such as hit-and-runs, double-play depth, etc..

You do use the D-pad to set double play depth, bunt, corners in, and all the other shifts, including the OF.

I have no idea why you would need a d-pad to set a hit and run. Set your guy to steal, then swing at the pitch.

There has never been a game that makes playing the game as easy. Baserunning is so well done. All it takes is a few minutes to look at what they are trying to do.

I've never had a problem, either. I agree with the previous post: the only time a runner stops halfway on a hit-and-run is on a popup.
