Prospect Development
In franchise mode are there any advantages to keeping a prospect in the minors vs calling him up. Do the prospect ratings increase in the minors quicker? Example being I am playing as the O's and would like to know if I should call up Dylan Bundy or give him some time in AAA. I am currently at the beginning of May in my first season.Tags: None -
Re: Prospect Development
I dont know if there is a advantage or disadvantage... obviously the minors can help build confidence of a player specially if they are having success down there, but nothing beats getting the experience of the MLB level.
In franchise mode im pretty sure it comes down to your coaching staff and their abilities... if you go to your coaches section it will tell you their overall ratings in certain areas.. I.E. if you have a pitching coach that is a 80 overall then your pitchers will all most likely develope while in the organization.. on the other hand if you have a pitching coach that is likea 40 overall, then that will most likely slow down thier overall improvement.
Also a lot has to do with thier overall potential level and when thier "peak" age starts and stops. If you have a kid that is a 3 star player but has the potential to be a 5 star, you will see 3 yellow stars filled and 2 clear stars not, however if he is say 21 years old and his "peak" age isnt until 24 then you will see him improve slightly until hes reaches that peak age, and then depending on the coaches will either really take off or stay somewhat the same.Shaun Suttorp: Western State College 2007-10
