ASB for the X box... MVP for the PC... and ESPN as a rental to see if it is half as good as ESPN football.. If its even close, it will be part of my collection..

It's major downfall with me is NO MANAGE MODE.. but if it plays well, realistic baseball, I will be content to be a GM and just watch CPU vs CPU games.

            Re: I made my decision

Someone else asked that same question over at the MVP board..

            From a previous post.

I know, I know, No ones understands us manage mode folks.. We are but a rare bread.. I won't go into all the reasons but in my case it is not only because I love the mind or thinking part of baseball, but I do not have the dexterity of my hands the way some of you young folks have.

I used mine for defending my country back in 69... My hands don't work as well as they should.. But I still love, live and breathe baseball.

I don't want to be deprived of the love of a game just because my hands are not as quick as they once were.

But I sure as hell can still think baseball, scout rookies, manage a roster, think of what pitch I'd like to throw in a given situation, know when to hit and run or steal a base. Know when to pitch or throw around a batter. Know when to bunt, pull a pitcher, or sign a player to a contract.

Watch that player develop over the years, Did I guess right, or was I wrong. Was he the star I thought he would be or did he flop. Create a player ( Myself & My friends ) and watch what happens to them. Can I build a dynasty from my knowledge or should I be fired.

Decision’s, Decisions, Isn't that a major part of baseball.? I think it's far more important than pushing buttons, but in my case it is also a necessity... If I want to enjoy the game. Because button pushing is just not an option, or one that I would be good at.

Any way, I hope that answers your question . Many others just love the challenge of their minds over button mashing.. simply because if the game plays fundamentally sound.. The realism factor and stats are superior to arcade style of play.

The most important factor is that we all get some type of enjoyment out of the game, For you that is button pushing and God bless you for that. It simply won’t fit my needs, but I hope it brings you months of pleasure.

            Good luck and enjoy…

Did you guys see the manage mode videos of MVP? It looks just like Out of the Park Baseball, NO GRAPHICS? I thought it would be like High Heat 2003's manage mode.

It's meant to be a fast was to play, and if it were graphics based, it'd be just as slow as a normal game.
