    Ps2 or XBOX version?

Will the Ps2 version be inferior to the XBOX version? Last year I heard that there were some major problems with the Ps2 version. Generally I like getting my sports games on Ps2 because of the controller, and the online leagues sound interesting (though im not sure how they would work). Do you think the Ps2 version will be close enough to the XBOX one to warrant a purchase?

Last year, it wasn't even CLOSE! I mean, although I still love the HORRIBLE graphics of the PS2 version, the framerate was just BAD! The slowdown was DISGUSTING! Field textures were... UGHH!

HOWEVER, this year, FatPitcher said that everything looks just SO much better, and the game runs REALLY smooth (for the PS2 version), and he had mistaken the PS2 version for an Xbox version once by accident. Yes, it has caught up THAT much.

Now it comes down to preference... would you rather have online leagues included, and a better sports controller? Or would you go with the still prettier graphics (again, not by too much this year though) and HD support and what not?

It's really up to you right there.

Maybe that's the reason why I'm so happy for this year's version. Maybe that's why I see so many more improvements. I've been playing the PS2 version for 500 games, and haven't play ONE game of the Xbox version.

Fatpitcher mentioned in one of his posts that the online leagues for ESPN has been removed. Something along the lines it was to confusing for users. I believe it's in the "Any Questions" thread if you want to search for it.

Yeah, he said that it may have, but I'm waiting on the final results for that.

With all due respect to FatPitcher, what do you expect him to say? They are trying to sell copies of games, so he's going to say it looks good, almost like the Xbox version. Anything to get a purchase. I applaud him for that, I'm in the Business field and it's part of the territory. You gotta sell your product.

                            Hmmm...

Controls are a little better on PS2 because the two shoulder buttons on each side are better than the white and black buttons.

Graphics, load times, etc. are better on Xbox, as is online play. Also, being able to use the hard drive for saves is great for those of us who don't want to dish out crazy $ for storage space for saved games and rosters.
