yeah they also downed the game alot....while seemingly trying to upraise it in the begining...in tipical ign fashion..they seem to be sega sport *****'s...no lie i'd think they have the same contrct deal sony has with ea.....b.s. screw ign...extra biased @$$

Its amazing how every gaming magazine and website is anti Sega according to some people. I read the article and I dont see anything anti sega about it. It sounded to me like the guys at IGN just want an up to date copy of the game and they were spurring Sega on. Other than that, all they did was tell what they know about the build they had. It just so happens the build they have isnt that different than last year.

ESPN 9.0
MVP 8.5
ASB 8.1
HH 8.1

Not exactly SEGA haters. It was their clear favorite last year. I think they're pushing for a disc. I hope they get one soon, because it takes a or two week to get a good feel for a baseball game, and they're gonna want to put their review out ASAP when the game comes out. If they haven't had time with it, they won't know its depth or its flaws.

How do you figure they hate Sega? Let's look at recent scores...

WSB 2k3 - 9.0 (I played this one more than the other baseball games and think this is a bit high)
MVP 03 - 8.5 (good first effort, but not great)

NHL 2004 - 8.8 (good comeback game for EA. Not bad at all)
Espn hockey - 9.3 (quite possibly the worst case of IGN overrating a game in recent history. I played this one extensively, edited goalies, edited players, etc and it still doesn't deserve over 9)

Espn NBA - 9.2 (After being very disappointed with 2k3, I never even played it. Most reports are that it has gone arcade and downhill)
NBA Live - 8.8 (I thought it was OK, but a lot really enjoyed the game this year)

Madden - 9.5 (I hated it, but I'm just tired of the way this series plays. This game was amazing for those that like this style of gameplay)
Espn Nfl - 9.3 (Not as good a score as Madden, but still great. My favorite game this year).


I guess I just don't understand how you could possibly come up with your statement that IGN hates Sega. I've bought more Sega games than any other brand the last two years, but I have been disappointed more often than not lately (NHL and WSB). On the other hand, I thought College Hoops and NFL especially were great. I think most of IGN's scores actually give Sega too much credit.
