I appreciate Sega releasing early demoes, it made me want ESPN Football, and now it's saved me 40 bucks on this. I know fanboys will be appalled by this and accuse me of being a troll or whatever words 10 years olds use now, but it's just my opinion having played the demo many times. In the demo, I do like being able to play as the Ny Giants vs The New York Yankees...right down to the classic pink Giants uniforms.

The pitching and batting are yawners
Been playing the demo for a couple days, and it's cemented one thing, I will not be buying ESPN as my main baseball game unless the batting and pitching undergo some serious changes between the time of that demo and the time of release. One reason MVP is so much better is because the pitching meter made pitching fun. And whether it's cursor or their new format, the batting is also pretty bad. I just don't feel that *connected* to what's going on. And hopefully there's a better behind the pitcher camera than what's offered in this demo.

Re: The pitching and batting are yawners
No dude, I totally feel what you had just said, so it's okay if your $40 go to here.
You see? I like this man, at least he understand that the game has undergone changes. I don't rant on him or try to defend anything about this game.
I haven't played the demo, exactly what part of the batting made you not feel connected? Because many other impressions of people that have played the demo had liked it a lot.
Oh, and as you said about ESPN Football's demo getting you psyched for the final version, then I'm guessing that you played both the demo and the final version, so you saw MANY differentials with the game, so I guess that the final result of this game (with all of its options and what not) will make you feel more connected with the interface than in the demo (which is probably about a 40% build). -

Re: The pitching and batting are yawners
The ESPN Football demo was pretty representitive of the final product. If that is the same case with ESPN Baseball, I'm going to have to pass, because right now I'd rather play the first MVP than a full game of this. Of course I'll wait to play the final game to make up my mind, but based on videos and preview/impressions alone, MVP is the game of choice for me this year. But again, with the exception of ASB, I'll try them all this year (ASB's gameplay is like fingernails on a chalkboard to me).Comment

The espn nfl demo was completely different from the final game.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment
