Hey, man - go look in the questions thread. All of my questions have been answered and everything that I was hoping to get fixed was not.

Every new feature has been described, all thats left is gameplay. I felt the gameplay was fine last year so I don't have to play or see the game to know that I am dissapointed in the franchise - because as fatpitcher said, franchise has not been changed, same as last year. The new GM mode sounds fun and i'll try it out and probably like it for the thirty years it lasts, but i'm not going to pay for it. It's not hard to be making educated guesses on whats been done to this game and what hasn't at this point - the cat is out of the bag.

Re: What do YOU think Sega/ESPN should have done to compete?

FPM could be a goldmine for ESPN. People are a little skeptical about it because it's new and different but it could do a lot of good if they perfect it. It's ESPN's catch to their games and it might payoff someday so why not give it a shot?

As for the overall game, WSB was by far the best last year IMO. THey didn't need much changing in the pitcher/batter interface because it was much more realistic than MVP, ASB and HH. That's what I look for in a game not if a guy looks or swings funny. Add a few more foul balls and tweak the non cursor hitting and I'll be happy (which they did I think). My friends told me the other games made a lot of changes but IMO they needed them badly to even compete with WSB (HH was ok).

I'm not loyal to any company. I call it as I see it and right now WSB is the best....but of course that could change.

True... more PS2's = more sales on PS2.

Plus, I'm a PS2 owner, so to see the game that I am looking forward to most just go straight to Xbox would make me sell my PS2 and buy and Xbox, and I DON'T want to do that... I can't live without this controller, my old PSX games, and SOCOM II.

HOWEVER, I just want to see exactly what the game would look like if they went Xbox only, but I don't want them to.

                  <hr /></blockquote><font class="post">

more PS2s doesn't mean more sales whateva made you think that is just crazy. Splinter Cell sold more on Xbox than it did PS2. Soul Calibur sold more on Gamecube than PS2. You think a football game can't outsell Madden? NFL Fever sold 560,000 copies the first year on Xbox Madden sold 380,000 copies that year. WHY? Because people bought Xbox to play Xbox games not PS2 ports. EA will ALWAYS port the PS2 version they will never make 2 different versions. This is where u give it to EA by supporting Xbox 100% it pays.

You can't live without your controller? IMO the Xbox controller is better but for people like you who make excuses YOU CAN USE YOUR PS2 CONTROLLER ON XBOX. Socom 2 is a GOOD game it's not a GREAT game. Xbox is coming out with over 100 online games there will be a Socom 2 killer.

What in the hell does Socom II have to do with baseball? This is an ESPN baseball forum. I suggest everyone remember that before going over the same tired charade of which game/console/cake mix is better

i owned MVP Baseball last year and i don't see the difference this year except the name change. I see a little improvement but not enough to make it better than ESPN. EA has used it's flash to sell the game to the blind but EGM gave MVP a 8.5 they said the fielding AI is bad so go figure.

i owned MVP Baseball last year and i don't see the difference this year except the name change. I see a little improvement but not enough to make it better than ESPN. EA has used it's flash to sell the game to the blind but EGM gave MVP a 8.5 they said the fielding AI is bad so go figure.
