After - Swings
how come in WSB or now known as ESPN baseball, the batters always swing unrealistic?? what i mean is, some batters in real life swing the bat, make the full rotation and release the bat with the other hand after they had made contact or wiffed. but in ESPN they always have two hands gripped on the bat for EVERY PLAYER on EVERY SWING all the way through the swing. did they fix this??????"We're winners baby! ****in' winners! pushin it to the max, cuz thats how we roll!!!" ~ BrucieTags: None -
Re: After - Swings
this is something i complained about last year. i thought they would have fixed it by now. players like giambi shouldnt follow through with two hands on the bat. i hated seeing that happen. -

I agree. And it is hilited even more when compared to the other games coming out this year. Swinging and missing can be a violent and unsettling experience for major league ball players. That is just not conveyed in the swing mechanics that ESPN employs. As a Sega sports defender for many years, this is disappointing. But the bottomline is what worked 2 years ago ain't gonna fly now. Sega needs to change it. Maybe putting Visual Concepts in full charge again would help.

Re: After - Swings
It comes down to money. It would cost them a lot of money to recapture those animations, and even more for the animators to work on them to clean them up. It'd be hard for them to make the decision to do this when they already have batting animations from before.
I wish they would change them, but it's just the reality of the situation. And seeing that FatPitcher wanted to change the animations, I'm sure Visual Concepts had the final decision on this anyway.Comment
