Well I, for one, *like* having 'power' and 'contact' swing buttons.

If you wanna swing for the fences early in the at-bat, you can. Then, if you're behind, and you have to buckle down to put the ball in play, you use the 'contact' button to increase your chances.

I think it adds more strategy.

    So there.

Not me and the reason why is because every time I go up to bat when I play baseball I think of hitting the ball hard wherever it's pitched, not have a power swing or regular swing mode. I want it the same way in the video games. However, if you like it, then more power to you. I say to each their own...

          I disagree about always swinging the same in real baseball. On a 0-0 / 1-0 / 2-0 / 3-0 / 3-1 count i swing a lot different than a 0-2 or 3-2 count. So I also like having a contact a power button

i liked it to because the swings are a bit different with power and contact. Power swing pops it up a lot more, while contact swing keeps the ball lower

Agreed. If they are going to have 2 swings, then they'd need to change it. Normal swing, and contact swing. But contact swing should just be trying to get the bat on the ball. It should be impossible to hit a homerun, and hard to reach the oufield. It should only be used for situations like hit and runs, and trying to hit a ground ball to the right side. Just for putting the bat on the ball, and hit it on the ground.

Thankfully they allow you to use one button swing this year.
