    A couple gameplay questions...

    Hey guys,
I have a couple questions about this game. I have MVP 2004, but the player progression problem and other glitches are keeping me from really enjoying the game. I want a good franchise mode and I have some questions about ESPN:

    1) How is the franchise mode compared to MVP 2004?

    2) Are minor league teams?

    3) Are players fully customizable?

    4) How are the batter/pitcher interfaces? Is it comparable to MVP 2004?

    5) Do you think the gameplay will be as good as MVP?

I really have been having a lot of fun with MVP. But, I do not want these glitches to affect my franchise and whatnot....

Thanks a lot guys. And one more question: do you think the game is dramatically changed for the better? Thanks!

You might want to post this Here

OS has a BETA and Sdrotar is answering questions when he gets a chance.

well since i havnt played ESPN i can tell you how it was last year
          1. there is no player happiness in ESPN, or team chemistry although there is a confidence meter. ESPN has player fatigue which helps the realism for me in a season. ESPN keeps track of MLB records which is cool. MVP of course has the minor leagues. i cant really think of anything else right now.
          2. there are no minor league teams, just a minor league roster where you put the players that arnt on your 25 man roster. There are no stats kept, they just stay on that roster until you call them up.
          3. players are fully custumizable
          4. i heard its a zone type hitting, not real sure on this though
          5. i think the gameplay in WSB was better than MVP 2004, i had a lot of fun last year, mvp although fun, is not as fun as WSB was last year, IMO.

and your last question, it sounds like ESPN hasnt changed much from last year, but the changes it has made are good, for me at least. everything i didnt like about last year seems to have been fixed, like player scaling for one. i think they just tweaked the game to be enough of a change to be a differnt game and left things the same so it will still be an awesome game. there wasnt much wrong with last years to change, IMO.

                1. Franchise last year was pretty cool because you also had to hire scout, manager, pitching coach, batting coach and all, and i havn't played mvp's franchise but i think they are comparable.

                2. There are no minor league teams, in fact there is only the minors and this is where you put all players that are not on your team. There your minor league coach can work with them and depending on how good he is and how good of a potential rating your player has, thats how well he will progress.

                3. Pretty much so, i know you could definetely customize stats but i'm not sure about apperance.

                4. Batting is much tougher in espn because you not only have to time it, but you also have to hit it correctly, where as in mvp you just have to time it to get a hit.

                5. I think gameplay will be better. Last years gameplay was pretty good, so this years should be even better, it seems to me like mvps was more bells and wistles instead of the hardcore gameplay, but thats just my 2 cents.

Just wait till Arsenal moves into Emirates Stadium.

1- There was player happiness last year it was called player loyalty. Instead of bananas and happy faces in MVP it was letter based. If your team is consistently good, players will have higher ratings and contract situations had a major effect also. If you try to low ball someone you want to resign, he'll get mad and if you keep doing it he won't talk to you and have a loyalty of F. If you team stinks some may ask to get traded. There's a lot of things in franchise mode so if you have anything specific, ask away.

2- There is no AAA and AA but there are minors were minor league players are actually developing. It depends on how good your scout and minor league manager is (your staff also have contracts and free agent periods as well). Also, every player has a potential rating (also letter based) that ties into all of this. It all depends on your decisions.....if you bring up someone with a lot of potential but isn't ready he WON'T improve and might even get worse.

3- Yes. Includes glove color, bat type, appearance, high socks, batting stance, etc.

                      4- That's what they say

5- I prefer last year's WSB compared to this year's MVP (it's still fun) so I expect ESPN to be better.

                        Hey guys,
I have a couple questions about this game.

Thanks!

well since i havnt played ESPN i can tell you how it was last year
                        1. there is no player happiness in ESPN, or team chemistry although there is a confidence meter.
