You know I'm waiting to play the Game from all these "Glowing" reviews of MVP that made it seem like the 2nd coming I plopped down $40 on MVP that is now Gone. The Game has so many glaring problems that were never mentioned that I cannot believe reviews anymore becasue it looks like the fix is in.

I totally agree with you!!! See what really bugs me is the hold that Ea has on the Industry...Espn MLB got Early baseball game nod of the Year from Game Informer Talking praise about it...This was in a issue a couple of months ago..But I kind of question them now because they gave Espn MLB a 7.5 now and MVP a 9.2 or something like that...I think that is really suspect on what's going on..But you know what I love sega sports title EXCEPt this years basketball game and I will continue to buy them...So I'm set hehehehe

maybe for PS2 but not for Xbox. there's A LOT that sega could take advantage of but they don't do it because it would be hard to port the game to PS2.

I like FPF on Espn Football..Think it's cool and Play it a lot but you know on these other sports games Give it up sega..Use that time to work on the respective games you are working on...You know they spent a lot of time on football first person mode but not that much on baseball or whatever is next...Just spend time on FPF and call it a day...

One big problem with ESPN Baseball's FPM is they made it a camera and not a mode.

It's sad to see Sega not staying on top when ESPN has traditionally been the better game. Maybe Sega can rebound next year, but it seems unlikely at this point.

I wouldn't put too much stock in these magazine reviews. If you read the details behind the scores, it doesn't seem that they spend more a great deal of time with each game. MVP is great out of the gates, and while it is a good game, most would agree that it does come down to earth with time. On the other hand, these "15 Minute Reveiwers" usually hate ASB as they don't spend enough time to appreciate the great details which are the strong suit of that title. I really enjoyed WSB last year, and perhaps it is true that not much has changed. But it is also possible that are discrete upgrades that you don't notice right away, but after 20 games you notice them and say "wow, this really is better than last year".

I can gaurantee you that two days after WSB releases, you can find much better and legitimate reviews here on OS.

I don't like FPM either, but I do applaud Sega for the effort. Sega is in a tough spot. While their core gameplay has always been solid, they were critisized for minimal extras and poor marketing. FPM probably seemed like a creative way to set itself apart, provide an extra that wasn't just "copying" EA, and generate interest in the game. But while I admire the effort, FPM doesn't float my boat, and I would have preferred them to direct their efforts elsewhere.
