What level were you guys playing on? I tweaked the sliders so that it made pitching a challenge. In my Cubs season, Wood hade like a 3.23 ERA, but I think Prior had an ERA around 4.

That and I thought it was WAY too easy to K the CPU last year. No matter what level I played, I wound up with 17 or so K's per/game. From the impression sticky, it doesn't sound like this has changed....

You obviously didn't pitch with Texas. Trying to strike anyone out with that crappy staff was a lot of work. Chan ho was good for around 10 to 12, but after that forget about it.

Good point, I didn't!! I did however rack up some K's with the Pirates staff - most notably Kip Wells and Kris Benson. However, Josh Fogg was able to get around 13 or so/game for me as well.

How unrealistic it takes Fogg at least a month befoer he gets 13K's

I wouldn't be so quick to call this game "flawless," b/c it simply isn't out yet, and you know someoe will find a "gamekiller" in it somehow. I am buying it strictly for online play, so my expectations are this, "pretty much the same solid baseball game as last year with Live support." I am not expecting a breakthrough, jawdropping, baseball game experience, b/c this like ASB, IMO, is the same as it was 2 years ago, BUT it is on Live, which warrants my 40 bucks!

I'm skeptical about the ESPN series. The only game that made strides in the right direction so far has been ESPN Football. Hocky and Basketball were tremendous letdowns. I'm still on the fence about the baseball.

I agree. Hockey was not as good as last year. All 2k3 needed was new animations, AI tweaks, improved graphics and skating motions (hunched look) and ESpn commentary.
