    SWING ANNIMATIONS

I tell you the truth , I bought MVP the day it came out and while it's a good thing for the most part i just can't get into it...I traded it and then went back to the ESPN Demo...I am Espn or WSB for good now...A couple of things I noticed after playing MVP...1 Swing annimations- Mvp has it perfect and I didn't notice this until I played mvp..They are horrible.. 2.) Size of the bats..they have like size 45's ahhaahah..I really thing that has to do with the terrible swings..With that being said I love the demo so far... Last night I turned a DP and it was just perfect..The ball was hit to the shortstop and he throws to 2nd base..the 2nd baseman catches the ball and Spins to make the throw..Really cool..Well later guys I am excited for this one hehehe

Yeah, the swing animation for ESPN leaves a lot to be desired. Especially when compared to ALL of the other baseball games coming out. This is really one of the few things that I wish Sega would correct. It makes the game feel dated and so familiar when we have to look at the batters swatting that way all the time. I am sure ESPN will be a very good baseball game, but it just doesn't have that "jaw dropping" look to it anymore. When I play MVP and MLB2005, I do get a sense of being present at a real baseball game. And the presentation that they push through those games are top notch. EA, 989, and Acclaim are using a broadcast quality presentation to showoff their games with great affect. If Sega would just include TV style replays, that would go a long way to pepping things up. There is nothing wrong with the graphics in ESPN/WSB. They are just not presented to us in grand, jaw-dropping style. Because of this, the game may seem boring to some out there.

Right now I am enjoying the heck out of ASB2005 and MLB2005. I have MVP PC but can't play it until the stuttering gets fixed. One thing these games all have in common... they are trying to lure the baseball fan into the game with their presentations. Swing animations, batting stances, and broadcast style grahics is the way to go. Sega already has an almost great baseball game. It just needs an upgrade for sure.

I agree with most except It's not the Graphics that aren't good about batting...It's annimation...I really think if Visual Concepts/Blueshift work on 1. The swing annimations 2 Redo the batting/pitching interface 3. Crowd Noise I really think that people would flock to this game...Most people don't like this game because of those 3 things and they say it's boring...They NEVER (well alomost never) complain about the gameplay....This game could take the crown back if they fix these few things...I really don't think it's to much to ask from now till next season...
